Have a granddaughter that is an EMT

Have a granddaughter that is an EMT. She said they use them, as do the ERs. I live alone & am in my 70s. I have choked on food & luckily coughed it up. Bought one for my home & three others for my children’s homes as Christmas gifts.

I think this is wonderful, I have trouble with Chooking so I bought 4 ,two for my house and two for my Sons house

I sampled the device on myself as a practice. I think it works fine as I created suction and started pumping. However, I read a review and said it was not recommended to use on oneself. Yet, that was the reason I bought it as it was advertised that way. Please explain.

Retired medic. If these had been available decades ago, I would have seen fewer dead people. Minimal strength required to operate. If concerned, consider the strength needed to reset the push-button type; you'd only get one shot. If you have an AED installed, why not one of these at each station? Break rooms, lunchrooms, diners and restaurants, etc. In any event, don't just stash it without opening it and familiarizing folks with it. Don't be looking for the directions while someone is choking.

A great instrument to have to save possibly a life!!

All I can say is that it looks great but fortunately, there is no need for it yet! I hope that I will never have to use it but feel secure that if and when it comes about, I will have the right instrument to save myself or anyone else!!
